In December 2016, during Christmas holidays, we spent a couple of days close to Ile de Porquerolles. These are beautiful islands in the South of France. On our way there, we stopped in Saint-Tropez, which was very peaceful and quiet at this time of the year. We had lunch in one of the restaurants at the port of Saint-Tropez “Le Girelier“, excellent food and delicious tarte tropezienne for dessert!
The port of Saint-Tropez:
Beautiful small streets, plenty of charm..
and the famous church of Saint-Tropez:
By the end of the day we arrived to the Giens Peninsula, near Hyères. We stayed at Pierre & Vacances La Pinede. Great location, with a direct access to the beach. We had a nice apartment with the sea view and close to the port de La Tour Fondue, from where you can catch the boat to the Ile de Porquerolles.
Next morning, we took the boat to Ile de Porquerolles. The weather was beautiful, no much crowd, peace and silence of the sea… perfect day, wish we could have stayed longer…
Beautiful sunset on our way back:
The following day, we went to discover La Route du Sel à Hyères and we were seeking for pink flamingos that we only found at the end of the day on our way back from Hyères …
